Program Overview
International Health Solution's believes that patients with cancer deserve the same specialized attention at home that they receive in the hospital and at the doctor's office. Our nurses, therapists, social workers, home health aides and nutritionists are certified and trained in cancer care, prepared to guide patients and their families through all of their needs.
Our focus on oncology allows us to deliver complex care at home to reduce or eliminate hospitalizations and offer prompt early interventions. Together with your oncologist, primary physician, and health care team, we provide high quality care wherever the patient calls home.

International Health Solutions Services Include:
- Pain and symptom management
- Disease and medication teaching, including oral chemotherapy
- Home IV care, port disconnection, PICC line care
- Wound and ostomy care (colostomy, urostomy, tracheostomy)
- Tube feeding administration
- Home injections
- Nutrition counseling
- Emotional support
- Caregivers and family members education
- Facilitating for private care services to augment intermittent care
What home care services are available for cancer patients?
Through International Health Solutions, you can receive many services as in a hospital or rehab facilities. Your outpatient oncology team will work with us to set up your plan of care that includes the services you need, the type of staff best suited to provide those services, and how often the services are needed.
Nursing care
- A registered nurse works with your physicians, identifies your needs and establishes a plan of care.
- Services may include port care, wound care, ostomy care, IV treatments, medication management, and monitoring for side effects. Your care plan may also pain management, education, and common side effects management.
Physical therapy
- Our physical therapists can help you to regain your independence in the safest and most effective way possible by improving range of motion in joints and learning to use any equipment needed for daily activities.
- Physical therapy can also address pain management, walking and transferring, neuropathy, fibrosis and lymphedema.
Occupational therapy
- Our occupational therapists can help you with many of your daily activities and to help you to regain and build skills that are important to functioning independently.
- Occupational therapy will look at what you can do, and then teach you ways to do daily tasks, such as bathing, dressing, eating, and household routines. If you need special equipment, you’ll be taught to use it. With the therapist’s help, you can learn to do more on your own.
- We can also teach you and your caregivers how to use devices that can make these activities easier.
Nutritionist service
- International Health Solutions dietitians can support nutrition-related side effects during and after treatments, weight-gain and weight-loss management, special and restricted diets, and Caregiver education
Speech therapy
- If you can’t talk the way you used to, a speech therapist can help you communicate again by teaching special techniques and helping you practice. They may also help if you have problems swallowing.
Social workers
- Our social workers can address social and emotional factors of cancer care, and serve as case managers for patients with complex needs and help find sources of help in the community. This can include helping the family look for financial help if needed. They can also counsel patients on coping with the demands of illness, family conflicts, and grief.
Home Health Aides/Personal Care & Homemaker Services
- With the help of an aide, you can better handle personal care, such as getting in and out of bed, walking, bathing, and dressing.
- A homemaker can do light household tasks for you, like laundry, meals, housekeeping, and shopping.
